I didn't think I'd be gone that long, really! But at some point I did a
PC rebuild and didn't reinstall my newsreader, and then I got busy, and
so on.
In any case, I was around from the earliest s.s.f-a.m. days before I
dropped off the face of Usenet, and participated in the non-moderated
groups before that.
I'm tickled to see so many familiar names here!
I live in the suburbs (nearly the exurbs) of metro Atlanta, GA, US with
my two partners and my daughter. Sam is my male partner. He has his own
web site at http://www.samchupp.com/
. My female partner is very
private, so I'll be referring to her as May.
Katie, my daughter, is 14 now. We homeschool her in addition to
chauffeuring her around to her many activities. Sam's children left to
live with their mother in California about 18 months ago.
I haven't worked outside the home much since 2000, thanks to
fibromyalgia and a few other nasties. I'm back in college now, though,
studying "international, technical and professional communication."
Writing, basically--everything but the creative sort.
We continue to enjoy gaming (RPGs). I love to make music. I do
cross-stitch and will stubbornly continue to do so despite the fact that
it isn't cool like scrapping, knitting, and crocheting. I've even put a
few of my own designs on my web site, though I have far more that aren't
quite ready for release yet. I continue to do Internet safety activism,
and am involved in the Freecycle network (http://www.freecycle.org/
) as
their safety coordinator.
Namaste,
Cyn
