Hi! I'm back in the unmoderated group and just joining you here.
I'm dissapointed that the former is so troubled by what my sibling termed
"icky invaders" (a term I love because it avoids the need to determine if
someone is really a troll or just obtuse or what) and this place is so
quiet. On the other hand, I've been posting my head off in the unmoderated
group, so I'm busy enough on the topic for now. But it would be nice to
see more action here.
One main reason that I'm returning to newsgroups after a couple of
years or more is that I'm working on a book on fat and ***. No, right now
I don't have a publisher, or even a proposal, outline, and sample
chapters, just faith. I'm very excited, because I have had many, many
articles *in* books over the years, but this will be my first book.
I certainly will also be doing in-depth interviews and may have to
do a big questionaire, but I hope to get some personal statements from
the newsgroups. When you reply--if, as I hope you do--please include at
the top of the message (yes) if I have permission to use that writing in
the book and (no) if you'd prefer I didn't. In the final manuscript, I
will edit for clarity and spelling/punctuation/grammar, and no real names
(or even net names) will be used.
So, to start out--over the years, how have you met dates, lovers,
and/or partners? Were you fat and/or were the others fat? What difference
did this make, if any?
I will indeed chime in with my own stories.
