I'm still here, too. I got laid off from one job, lived through a
miserable
45 days of unemployment, then got another job, and just recently moved
back down to the Wa****ngton, D.C. area. The commute from Baltimore was
killing me. With the IT market as bad as it is, I'm feeling very
fortunate
to have a job at all these days. I know lots of other folks who have
been laid off for far longer, but maybe they're just more picky. I
couldn't afford to be picky. The job doesn't pay as well as I'd like,
but the benefits are excellent, and that counts for me. It's also got
a bit of the 'coolness' factor - one of my jobs is taking care of the
Do Not Call registry computers! heehee So now you know someone who
knows. By the way, I have it from the horse's mouth now. They can't
do anything about spam. Most of it comes from out of the country, where
we have no jurisdiction. Oh well.
ObFatContent: I'm still fat. My cat is fat, although I don't know how.
He doesn't free-feed, but the vet wants him to lose weight, although she
admits that he's very healthy. Hmm.. Anyway, I was fortunate to find a
job where my weight doesn't seem to be an issue. That's always pleasant.
And hey! I paid off my car AND my student loans in the same month.
