Folding chair that holds up to 550 pounds

by mgw@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Mary-Anne G. Wolf) Jul 31, 2004 at 05:47 PM

I was camping at Brushwood,
attending the Starwood gathering,
and my folding chair was sagging dangerously.
They had a little shack associated with
a nearby, and larger hardware store.
It kept a few things in stock
and could get more on request.

I asked, "Do you have a really strong folding chair?"
They did. Better than anything I have seen.

It is supposed to hold up to 550 pounds.
It certain holds me with no trouble.

It is called "What a Chair".
The source is
Retail Strategic Alliance (on the box)
(also known as Consumer Strategic Alliance
when I just phoned them).
62 Leone Lane, Chester NY 10918 U.S.A.
1-800-442-8677.

Their web site has moved to
tailgateguy.com
and they now concentrate on chairs
with team logos on them.

The site used to be
what-a-great-idea.com.

My chair is plain green and much cheaper
than the ones on the web site.
It has no arms.

Do people think we should suggest to amplestuff
that they carry this chair?

I thought people here would want
to know about this chair.
(I have no business connection with the vendor
except as a very happy customer.)
