I DID IT!!!

I have been quit for 4 Years, 12 minutes and 42 seconds (1,461 days).
I have saved $7,597.23 by not smoking 18,993 cigarettes.
I have saved 2 Months, 4 Days, 22 hours and 45 minutes of my life.
My Quit Date: 8/23/2004 8:00 AM

This is probably the most fitting song I can think of -- Gimme Some 
Loving ... absolutely! Where? Here!!!

Many, many times I came here in need of some Lovin' ... and *always* 
found it.

I'm not really feeling all that wordy.

I *can* say I've made it through some pretty tough times (selling a 
home, buying a home, packing, moving, Annette's illnesses, financial 
stresses) without smoking -- I came here instead, asking for you to 
Gimme Some Lovin'.

I've learned to be Kind to myself.  I've learned to be forgiving of 
myself.

I've learned of the power of Kindness.

I've learned that smoking was never a reward, that at times it was a 
horrible way to beat myself up, to reinforce a misconception of 
unworthiness.

Four years later, what can I say -- I'm Happy.  I'm Content.  I Am Worth 
It.

Self-Worth -- what a Great Gift.

What did any this have to do with quitting smoking? All of it -- 
quitting smoking was the beginning of A Great Adventure.

If I hadn't quit smoking I would still be hiding inside a cloud of 
poisonous smoke.

Now I Am Free.
