Sue Hon....believe it or not...you are one of my favorite people
here...even though I do think you're left-winged.
Just because someone doesn't say "Republican" or "Democrate" doesn't
mean they are not displaying a conservative or liberal view point.
As an example: A recent string regarding New Orleans "poor" people. The
slant was that conservatives were picking on the "poor people" of New
Orleans. Never mind that a certain percentage of folks there have lived
their entire lives sucking money from the Government (gee...wonder who
pays for the government???). No one mentioned politics - that I recall
- in that string. But be assured....VERY left-wing politicians are in
office down there....including the obviously racist "schoolbus" Mayor
Nagy.
Isn't it amazing that areas next to New Orleans didn't have all the
problems that those poor suffering folks in New Orleans had??? Their
homes were gone too. I didn't see any news coverage of them screaming
at the "governemnt" to pick them up. Isn't it amazing that Florida,
South Carolina, and other states have gone through far WORSE hurricanes
and devasitation and we didn't see the citizens there screaming at the
"governemnt" to rescue them? Wow...in those States, they actually take
responsibility for their own lives.
There are people in our world that suffer.....some through absolutely no
fault of their own. To them...I think we owe a helping hand. For the
able bodied (and sound mind) folks who are quite capable of making their
own way...I RESENT big time my money (taxes) being taken from me under
the threat of imprisonment (IRS agents) and handed over to them (food
stamps, wellfare, etc.)
Now....did I say I'm afflilate with any political party??? Me thinks
not. And if you guess...you'll be wrong. So, you could say this
posting is not political on that basis.
