Whew...it's a long climb up here to the Onety One Month plateau.
Somehow the climbing seems a lot easier than at the start. Back then,
we had a hard time breathing; we often felt fatigued; and our minds
weren't all that clear at times. We started the climb with little
steps...our footing a bit unsure and afraid of slipping. We clung to
the AS3 lifeline and held on tight. As we passed one milestone after
another, we started to notice that the climbing was becoming much
easier. We were gaining breathing capacity. We could take longer and
longer strides and no longer constantly feared slipping. Out energy
level had really increased. Now, here we are...just 31 more steps to
the peak of Mount Old Fogy.
Common David, Pike & PKK!!
This way.... straight up...we're doing it!!
Oh...listen....from here - when the wind blows just right - we can hear
joyful songs of smobriety and spla****ng about in those fabled tubs just
above us. And looking forward up the trail....was that a gnome I just
saw darting about up there???
Sending a message back down to those just starting this marvelous climb:
"when it gets scary, don't look down" (taken from a song in "A Star Is
Born").
Okay....next milestone we really celebrate!!
