I'm ready to quit for good

Hello,

I used to post here, and I used to be quit smoking.  :(

I want to quit for good.  I just ended my first bout with it tonight
by smoking.  I need the help of this group again, I've come to
realize.  I also need to chew the gum as I did when I previously
quit.  It seemed to really help to have "something to do" when that
reminder in my brain kept telling me to go do something (smoke!)!

I will quit smoking again Friday.  Screw trying to do this on a
Monday.

I have to do this.  A lot has changed since the last time I was here.
I have a wife (former 13 year smoker who **I** got to quit) and an 18
month old daughter now.  So many im****tant reasons to quit being
selfish and ruining my chances of seeing my grandchildren graduate
high school.

I tried following the whyquit.com suggestions for cold turkey, but
there is so much stress around me at this point in my life, I think I
should go with the gum.  Any suggestions?
