six weeks and it gets better

I just clocked up six weeks of not breathing in smoke!
Saw the doctor today and he was very pleased to hear I'd stopped
breathing in smoke.  The oxygen level in my blood was 90 so it looks
like the lungs are  not  functioning too well, not surprisingly after
almost half a century of smoking heavy.
So he prescribed pills that will clear up the e phlegm in the  chest and
another lot of tablets to alleviatehe numbness in my feet, which I may
have mentioned before is caused by heavy drinking for forty years!
At this moment, I should tell you, I am drunnk in charge of a computer ...
