Hi Tara

I think I may have initiated this discussion a few days ago with an
observation.

Social pressure does not cause one to have SRS or not. Confirmation of
identity is the underlying issue. My point was growing up with parents
and society countering free, self expression results in mental barriers.
Boys are not allowed to be sissy's to the extent that girls are allowed
to be tomboys. Pressure is the easiest way to describe it but it
ammounts to a feeling of an unmet basic need if you want to define it in
terms of needs, ala Dr Abraham Maslow.

We have terms for unmet needs like hunger, thirst, lonliness,
insecurity. Trans***uals have not come up with a term for what that
basic unfilled need feels like so we call it pressure. There is a
euphoria to meeting a basic need. When a lonly person experiences love.
When a hungry person is fed. When an orphan finds a home. When a slave
or prisoner is given freedom. When a TG quits fighting their need and
starts filling it, they experience the "pink cloud" of euphoria as some
describe it. TG's are describing the freedom to be who they really are.

I then made the observation that the TG desires to confirm their
identity after a lifetime of resisting it. A few internalize it and make
no physical or lifestyle changes. Confirmation that other people can
observe is primarily from one of two sources. There is external feedback
tied together with the emotions of living in a female role. There is
logical, reality, observation made by the TG seeing a feminized body.

A woman doesn't need to show her vagina to prove she's a woman because
parents and society haven't been telling her she is something else since
early childhood.
