Hi BSD guy,

I've just recently (July 2007) had an ileostomy after a total colectomy,
leaving the rectum intact. I had a dx of Prostate Cancer in 1999 and had
Seed Implants and 20 sessions of 3D Confromal Radiation (very narrow
beam, less damage to surrounding tissue, etc). I spent gobs of time
online and in forum and sup****t groups checking out my options.

All of my PCa work was done by Dr Michael Dattoli (at the time in Tampa,
FL), now at his own center in Sarasota, Florida. He wrote /the/ book on
brachytherapy (seed implants) for PCA:

Dattoli Cancer Center
2803 Fruitville Road
Sarasota, FL 34237

http://www.dattoli.com/
is their web site, visit and ask all the
questions you might have. They are great with telephone consults and
willingly give of their time to answer your questions.

Another good place to consider is Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia,
http://www.prostrcision.com/index.html
for their site. They also have
had great success in treating PCa without loss of potency of problems
with incontinence. Both Dattoli and R C of G have a "total treatment"
plan where you can stay in the area and schedule your treatments etc.

Don't know where you live or what medical coverage you have, but these
guys were terrific. Any further info you might need, don't hesitate to
post back here, and we can set up some email swaps <g>.

Regards...Stan
