Question: Ostomy and Crohns

by "Acrompton" <adcrpton@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 18, 2007 at 01:25 PM

When I formerly went into a flare up of my Crohns,
I would have diarrhea and blood. Now that I have
the ostomy, and the fact that it is retracted and
my skin is always going to suffer, I see blood
anyway. I am now having more liquid bms than
normal, and something I ate last night only took 2
hours to pass! How do I know when to worry that I
am flaring? I do feel uncomfortable with the
diarrhea in that I can feel it "marching" through
what is left of my colon...almost like strong gas
pains.

Any thoughts? Should I call my GI? I hate to
over-react.
