Hi there!! I have had an iliostomy since I was 13, in 1987. in 1997 I
found a dr in la that made everything internal. for 9 years I fought
to keep that internal bag and had 14 surgeries, and in october of 2006
had to go back to the external bag. I have already had 3 surgeries
since then, and now they say I have crohns ( I was diagnosed with
ulcerative colitis when I was 13)
I have been off work this time since the beginning of april, and the
last time was off for 5 months from july to december of '06. I so
understand where you are coming from!! such a cruddy hand we have been
delt. but if you dont laugh, you cry, so I try to stay positive. I
would love to keep in contact with you!! I was beginning to think that
I was the only one who had complications!
