I have never used the clamp style bags since the first one was put on me in
hospital, I have always used integral velcro closures for my ileo bags, I
also use 2 piece. I clean the end with toilet roll, but over time have
come
to realise that the best type of toilet roll to use is actually the
cheapest
you can buy, none of this fluffy quilted type that's soft for your bum (no
good for me lol!), I go for cheap rough stuff which doesn't leave fluffy
bits on the tail end of the bag, in fact the best ones I have found are
ones
that tend to be in public toilets, the ones that come on a huge roll. I
would not recommend using closed bags for ileo's, in fact they don't
actually make them for ileos, our output is too high to warrant using them
as on average we should be emptying between 4-8 times a day.
Can I ask how she cleaned the tail end of the bags that she used to use?
