Trigeminal Neuralgia question

by ROS <Hootman2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 3, 2008 at 03:56 PM

Several years back I had some terrible pain on the left side of my face.
Several years after that I had the same thing on the right side. Both
times Vicodin helped get over it. I self-diagnosed and assumed it was
TN. Thankfully there haven't been any other bouts.

I recently was talking to an oral surgeon before some work and I told
him about it. He said that without a diagnosis of TN, it's possible I
had a transient virus attack or something else, possibly but not
necessarily TN.

So my question is, has anybody ever had an intense pain along the
jawbone and side of the face and had it diagnosed as anything other than
TN?
