Wondering if any knows if you can put a restraining order on a neighbor.
My mom is like the little old widow on her block. She has lived alone
for quite awhile and leads a quiet, neat and tidy existence, doesn't bug
anyone.
No she isn't a very friendly person, just keeps to herself mostly.
Neighbors have often over the years s****adically asked for things from
her and she would cooperate.
Now that she is older she would really be happy if this one moocher
would just bugger off.
She has asked them plenty of times to stop parking their fixer-uper
vehicles in front of her house all the time. They refuse. (Course
their garage is filled with crap and only park their boat in the drive).
She had a cherry tree out front. They and their friends would just walk
on her property and pick cherries without asking. She cut down the tree
this year.
A month ago this neighbor asked to put some garbage they couldn't fit in
their own garbage can into hers. (They have done this before). She
said fine, but now they don't bother to ask. My mom keeps her garbage
neat in bags. They just dump all sorts of crap loose into hers, which
she then has to clean out.
She caught the guy doing just this the other day and ran out asking him
to stop. He had put some stuff in that was toxic (rubber, paint) and if
found out would be refused by the garbage company. Well, mom lost her
temper over this and cussed out the guy up and down. He didn't do
anything, but he might do something to her home out of spite. I mean
the guy acts like she is some senile old bitty and has full use of her
property.
I am fairly positive he would not harm her, but if he did do something
to her home, could she get a restraining order?
I can't be at my mom's all the time. Anyone got ideas on what I could
do to help her?
I would like to go punch this dude and his witchy-wife out, but well,
you know...
