For DH, it is not virtual world making more sense than real.  It is an
escape.  But unlike other games, it is played in real-time and there
is not end.  When you shut off, it goes on without you.
Many people have remarked it is a game they love and hate at the same
time.  I read an article called "When fun is bad".  Interesting
stuff.  Also for a real odd look at the WOW check this comic strip out
- it is not far off the mark.

Of course it doesn't.  That is why reality is the ultimate game.  You
feel *real* pain and hopefully *real* joy.
