In the last couple months he has increased his "play" time.  As in
every night and pretty much all his spare time.
I have tried desperately not to harp, but things seem to be sliding
downhill towards addictive behaviour.
I never asked him to give it up entirely or not to do something else
he might like instead.  But I think when you start to ignore RL it is
a sign of being addicted.

I think they say the average age of WOW players is 25 to 30.  DH is
35, so not too much off the mark.
As for me and posting to this NG, I have been trying to cut back, (if
this is what you are referring to).

It is not me who really wants the attention, but the kids need some.
For instance he disregarded helping our 5 year old with her bed-time
preparations and just shouted at her to get her jammies on and into
bed.  He refuses to let the girls play music when he is playing his
game.  When I ask him a question while he is playing he either ignores
me or snaps at me.

When he went cold turkey from it after the few years of steadily
playing, he did other things to relax.  None of them seemed to provoke
this kind of behaviour.

I suppose my perception may be skewed because of how bad it was
before.  I admit it is hard to clear the fog of the past to get a
proper look at what is going on presently.

I will try to have patience, a virtue I am not so good with, lol.
