I suspect this is something like the "Better Than Life"
game mentioned in "Red Dwarf"...  though not as
immersive.

(hmmmmmmm...)

Think about it--  fiction tries to make some kind of
sense in order to provide some sense of realism.  Have
you noticed that reality makes no such effort?
