I just thought I would mention to anyone interested that I am involved with
a program through Big Brothers/Big Sisters to match boys with hemophilia
with an adult mentor who also has hemophilia. The idea is to give the boys
someone to talk with who has been there and knows what it's like. When you
throw in hep c, HIV, etc. it's easy to see why I believe in this program
so
much.
I wanted to put this plug in for the program. You may or not have it where
you are but you could certainly start one in your area. All you would need
to do is contact the local treatment center and/or Big Brothers and that
should get the ball rolling. The program I am with is out of Columbus,
Ohio
so your local BBBS office could always call for information on how to get
started if needed.
It doesn't require a lot of time or money but you can really make a
difference in someone's life!
