Good Morning-
I posted awhile back about my wife being diagnosed with GERD and her
heart disease history.
After two months of testing they have come to the conclusion she has
GERD.
Her concern is the severe pain in her lower jaw anytime she exerts
herself. Bending over and wiping the floor, doing laundry, a brisk
walk.
She is very upset at the world right now she will not go to Mayo
Clinic, she is tired of the poking and prodding.
She is taking Previsad <sp> and 2x a day and 75mg Zantac 2x a day. She
is eating small meals 6 times a day, no diet coke (her only vise along
with dark chocolate which she has given up as well).
She sleeps on an incline and can't sleep on her side.
Will this go away? Can she exercise with no lower jaw pain?
It is like a double edged sword.
Her 5 bypass in 2002 11-29 -07 will be 5 years. Her heart is in
excellent health. She did not have a heart attack. Under this last
battery of tests her heart, veins, arteries, and byp***** are 100%
clear and healthy, from head to toe. As posted earlier all things
related to GERD check ok i.e. gallbladder.
Today you need to be your own health advocate, her GP is a delegater
(not a word), I use the word because she just sends my wife to
specialists and really has not made a decision on her own experience
as a doctor in my opinion. Which is not all bad.
We had a conference at my request with an Endo, a Gastro, and two
Cardiologists, a Neurologist (my friend) and her GP.
Conclusion: You have severe GERD could take 8 months to a year to
subside, it may never if you decide to not follow the advise given.
My wife has done cardio exercise for at least 1 hour every day for the
last 5 years minus the last two months. She has no energy and is
feeling very depressed.
I am frustrated for her.
Thank you for letting me vent.
