Three years ago I got my first episodes of heartburn, and a few days
before that I had a spasm feeling in my chest. I've had this same
feeling (not painful, it feels like my chest is shaking inside)
several times a week since, and always assumed it was my heart doing
it because it makes me feel rather awful. My heart checked out fine so
I knew it wasn't anything serious. However, last night it happened
while I was taking my pulse and there was absolutely no change in how
my pulse felt during the episode, which leads me to believe that it's
never been my heart after all. Could it be a symptom of GERD? It
oftens happens when I'm lying down, after exercise, and during/after
periods of stress. When I've mentioned it to doctors, I just get a
shoulder shrug, the only hypothesis is that I'm having a few PVC's.
Thanks!
Amy
