How much will a hearing aide help me?

I have high frequency hearing loss and am wondering how much a hearing
aide would help me.  To see my audiogram go to

With 90 to 100 db HF loss I am surprised that I hear anything.  
I did try an open fit Rexton and it did nor improve my comprehension,
it only made everything sound raspy.  It is like I am hearing the
start up transients but not the tones.

I sent my hearing test to America Hears and the partial response was


You are an excellent candidate for an open fit hearing aid such as our
LOF or LS BTE (specs attached). 

Unfortunately, no one can make a guarantee about whether or how much
any hearing aid is going to help someone.  Your speech discrimination
is fairly good, so I would expect that with the right hearing aid, you
would do fairly well.  However, the degree of hearing loss you have in
the higher frequencies is going to be difficult to reach.  .  


I sounds like an unqualified maybe because it is in the higher
frequencies is where I have problems.  I was wondering how sever your
loss is.
