New Pho**** Naida with sound recover

I was fitted 4 days ago with the new Pho**** Naida on a 30 day trial.  It 
is an open fit.  Has the sound recover feature where high frequencies 
are ****fted down to a lower range.

The sound is rather good, but a little "crisp" and the open air fitting 
is excellent.  I hardly know I'm wearing them.  BTE, of course so will 
get use to that.

I've worn many sets from different manufacturers in the 30 years I've 
been wearing hearing aids.  These are the best so far, but I still can't 
understand what people are saying.  My comprehension was scored at 20%.

I was supposed to go back in 2 weeks, but I requested going back in 1 
week.  So I will be going back in 3 days.

I am disappointed that the telephone sounds very tinny.  (almost like 
those cheap transistor radios from the 60's).  Same for TV when I hold 
my headphones directly over the mics that rest on top of my ear.

We have not discussed price, but if I can't understand speech, there is 
not much use in buying new hearing aids, right?

We'll see if the audiologist can make any adjustments to improve the
sound.
