I thought for sure the posting revealing that 911 emergency calls are
now being outsourced to India (see article below)
was another Ed Conrad prank but, believe me, I tried it
and found it works like a charm..

Actually, the cost-saving measure by the Bush
administration is working rather well but, I agree,
a few minor glitches have to be ironed out.
<
i believe that the most serious is when the dispatcher
in New Delhi asks for the exact longitude and latitude of
the emergency. Thank goodness, I always
carry a latitude-longitude globe in my trunk.

It's just a shame that so many 911 dispatchers here
in the U.S. -- 4,335, according to Fox News -- have lost
their jobs
Another glitch, I've found.. is that the dispatcher in India
talks SO FAST that you have to ask him to repeat and
repeat it. Then, too, you have to talk SLOWLY and
CLEARLY -- and you can't use any American slang

All in all, though, I like the thought of Uncle Sam saving
money so we have more to spend in Iraq.

Boy, that George Bush certainly deserves a third term.
I believe he's the best president since Herbert Hoover.
