Turning Ashes Into Rings and Reefs
More than a third of Americans choose to be cremated when they die,
but the days of scattering ashes or keeping them in an urn may soon be
gone. Today, a company called LifeGem turns cremated remains into
synthetic diamonds. Ashes also can be incor****ated into glass balls or
pottery. Another business will disperse ashes over the ocean=97as part
of a fireworks display. Finally, people can choose to sleep with the
fishes. Several companies create man-made reefs containing ashes for
