Being a counselor, I am also. But I will say the following. Suicide is not
an action that strangers have the right to judge. There MAY be issues of
morality if a parent kills himself and leaves children on the street or
welfare. People are NOT weak who commit suicide. Have you ever held a
loaded
gun in your mouth and realized that if you push that tiny piece of metal
called a trigger just one inch, you will take off your head forever?? I am
a
retired minister. The Bible does not teach an immortal soul. Check Eccl.
and
the Jews today and their beliefs about the soul. The soul can die. The
soul
is YOU. Depression is an illness just as real and painful to a person as
being shot in the leg might be. Life isn't a game that we are obligated to
win. In fact, no one asked to be born, so you have no right to make them
live their lives according to your rules. So people don't have to win,
they
shouldn't be forced to even play. They didn't agree to the rules of life
before they were born, so how can you hold them responsible if they break
your rules?? Who decided your view was correct??? Think about all of this.
I
have first-hand experience with this topic.
