I read the full paper, the rats were fed huge amounts of splenda.
Splenda is made up of tiny amounts of sucralose the sweentener and bulk
fillers to make its sweetness and bulk similar to table sugar.
Sucralose is 600 times as sweet as sugar thus the use of fillers.
The rats were fed huge amounts of splenda and no provision in the method
used was made to seperate any possible effect of the sucralose from the
much larger amounts of the filler used.
Leaving aside that the anounts used were many many times what a human
would consume daily, we do notknow the source of those effects that did
occur.
