Hi --
Lobsters, crabs and shrimp are one group. If you're allergic to one,
don't eat the rest. I think there are a couple of others in that group,
but they should be obvious.
Bivalves (clams, oysters, scallops) are a different group. If you're
not allergic to them, check with an allergist but you're probably okay.
However, be alert as you may develop other allergies. I'd urge you to
make an appointment with a good allergist to learn more about what
you're allergic to and what precautions to take.
For what it's worth, I know a lot of people who develop food allergies
in their 50s and beyond. To my regret, it runs in my own family.
