soy food allergies or food allergies in general

by Ann <viglan65@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 5, 2008 at 04:44 PM

Hi everyone,

I am new to the group. I found out I have a food allergy to soy about
a year and a half ago. I am finding it very hard to find restaurants
that might have something on the menu that I can eat. I don't eat out
very often, but would like to have the option. Currently, I am making
my own bread, bagels, etc. Everything that they sell in the
supermarket at some form of soy. I was told I could probably have
things with soy oil because the protein would not be present, but then
I got some nasty symptoms just from eating chocolate that has soy
lecithin. I would appreciate any and all help in finding places to
eat and good recipies to make. Being allergic to a come food additive
can be lonely. - Ann
