Followup regarding the the metallothionein connection.
As molybdenum is a component of metallothionein, perhaps this accounts
for the value of molybdenum-based compounds in treating diabetic
cardiomyopathy. It might force an increase in metallothionein
synthesis. These compound might be even more effective used in
conjunction with HDAC inhibitors like butyrate.
