Be afraid very afraid. I went to buy baby wuipes to go away with and
went for cheapest and picked up Morrisons Soft Gel Wipes. Good job I
checked the ingriedients as they have Almond Oil in them. I had a word
with the Deputy manager who was horrified himself but I did point iout
that i thought it was only food that had to have warnings. I just got
a letter back from Morrisons Customer Service.
"dear Mrs etc, after speaking with my relevant colleague I am able to
confirm that due to the product not being edible there is no legal
requirement to inco****ate a nut warning. Such warnings were only
introduced for food items."
Okay. Worst case Scenario... Wipe baby's bum and redress baby and with
your hands pick up baby and stroke face or touch their flesh. Even
worse wipe baby's face and hand and baby puts fingers to lips.
Thinking back to my son of 18 months old. He picked up a Brazil nut in
its shell and put it on his bottom lip. We spent 4 hours in causalty
while they tried to stop the anaphylaxis and bad swelling to his face.
They told us then never to give him nuts incase.
Temprance.
