I have a nut and sesame seed allergy and also have wheat intolerance.
A recent holiday in North West Ireland near Donegal proved to be the
best experience of finding food that was suitable. I was able to buy
nut free gluten free bread which as it had corn added lasted a lot
longer and didn't dry up so much. It's made using a mixture of Doves
Gluten free bread flour and other ingredients. I also had Gluten free
vegetable soup at a heritage centre several times and was able to buy
a huge tub of the Marigold stock (low salt as well) that is very
concentrated. Loads of Italian rixce pasta that with some sauce or
pesto was entirely edible instead of being tasteless. Even the
smaller towns had gluten free foods. Apparantly there seems to be a
lot of Coeliacs and diabetics around there.
