The Kabbalah was written before the Hebrews even became
Jews. They carried it with them out of Babylon. What you
are maybe referring to is when the western world got it's
first look at it, which didn't happen until the Christians
sacked Jerusalem during the Crusades. One of the very
first copies of the Kabbalah ever translated was translated
in what they now call Spain during the 14th century
