Not to mention that "christ" means only "anointed"; a king or prophet
could be anointed, too. It has to do with the ritual of pouring oil
on someone's head, "anointing" them.
Personally, I believe that Jesus was *a* christ, not *The* Christ. He
was showing us that we all can become christs. He kept saying that we
can do the same things he was doing, but everyone wants to put him up
there on a pedestal. Becoming a christ is hard work; wor****ping
a christ as a deity is much easier.
