Hello guys & gals,
I just wanted to tell you about the new med called "Pregabalin" that
my neuro' has just prescribed for me to take together with my Tegretol
Retard.
Ummm - the problem is, ever since last month, when I got onto a steady
dose of 100mg twice daily, both my ankles/feet began to get really
puffy, and blew up like two giant balloons. It's very painful to walk
too.
I phoned up my epilepsy nurse at the hospital, and told him my
problem, asking if I could lower the dose a little. He just said
to not do anything, and asked me to go and see my GP to see if It
could be anything else.
The GP said people can get "puffy feet" if they have a heart
condition, have large varicose veins, or are extremely overweight.
As I haven't got any of these, she completely agreed with me that the
only thing causing my feet to "puff up" could be my Pregabalin.
I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem from using
either Pregabalin or any of their other meds - just in case I know to
take caution if ever I get offered them!
Take Care
Sofie
