Apologies if this question offends in any way but I assure you this is
genuine and of a concern.
A relative in his mid 40's has started suffering tem****ary memory loss
after
***. He is embarrased to talk of it so I know no details in terms of
duration or how soon after orgasm the memory loss occurs. I only know its
happening because his wife (my sister) disclosed it to our older sister
who
sought my opinion. I'm not a Doctor - just a close brother!
It seems that this is not just forgetfullness. The last time he forgot
his
mother had died - an event that had happended some years ago. Clearly
very
upsetting for him and my sister. He has had a CT scan but as I understand
it
he is no further forward with a diagnosis yet. Investigation wise I guess
its early days.
He has no history of epilepsy but when my sister told me of his condition
I
seemed to recall a case of similar symptoms associated with epilepsy? Has
anyone heard of this or had experience of orgasm as a trigger for what I
think maybe some kind of 'petite mal'. You may realise by now that I
have
next to no experience of epilepsy and I'm probably barking up the wrong
tree
but our family experience with the local city health services is not
entirely positive. It wouldn't be the first time we have had to point
them
in the right (and sometimes obvious) direction...
