It really is not bad. To prepare, you just want to make sure you have
all your comforts close at hand for about a week. Make sure before
your surgery you go to the grocery store and get all your favorite
comfort foods. Wear loose clothing to the surgery. I have severe
nausea to anestesia, and after 2 surgeries I just found out they can
prevent you throwing up when you wake up! so prepare that you might
throw up when you wake up. I have had my gallbladder out too and it
really is not a difficult thing. they give you so many drugs, you are
out cold to anything that is happening to you. when you wake up you
feel groggy, but it wears off and then when you go home, you just have
to take it easy. do not try to be superwoman and start cleaning your
house three days after, because you might feel better, it is just the
pain killers! the best thing you can do for yourself is to take the
time to heal.
the scars are tiny and barely noticable. I am not sure what they are
planning to do to you, but what ever they do remember to take care of
yourself and remind those around you that love you to be extra nice to
you and take care of you when you need something
good luck, you will be fine!
