Hi, I'm the same Linda who posted earlier as "Post-hyst followup age 54
bowel endo". My problems with endometriosis started in my late 20's in
the 1980's but were not as severe as yours until I was 40. I'd be
concerned about the constipation because you may have bowel
endometriosis. In my case the bowel was actually being strangulated by
endo tied in a kind of bow around the upper right and lower left bowel.
I was still ovulating at 48 when I had the complete hysterectomy --
tubes, ovaries, uterus, cervix, everything, my choice. I tried to wait
as close to regular menopause as I could, because I didn't want to take
hormones, and finally had to give in when my bowels blocked. At 30 you
are likely to take some kind of replacement hormone. Do be aware that
if you keep your ovaries your endometriosis pain and swelling may
recur, even without the bleeding. Do a search on "bowel endometriosis"
for more information because your symptoms sound like the bowel is
involved.
Best wishes,
Linda
