yes i'm seeing a pain management dr. she sold me not to get discouraged
about the small dose and to call if i had any problems. i called. the
nurse told me she said it had only been a couple of days and i should
give it more of a chance. but i found out that that dosage is for
people who have never really been on any type of pain medicine, the
pharmacy that i called said that with what i was talking before i
should be on a much higher dose, the 50mcg or 75mcg. the thing is that
the pain clinic i went to didn't understand why my ob/gyn sent me
there, that she could give me these medicines. the pain clinic dr. said
she could treat me for about 6 to 8 months but that my regular dr.or my
ob/gyn should take over giving me these meds. also the clinic dr said,
when i called back that she felt that dosage should be right for me,
dispite what i've read and what i've been told. at this point my
percocets give me more relief than this dosage. i've even tried
doubling up on my dose(by wearing two patches) it still doesn't touch
my pain. i don't know what to do. should i request another pain clinic?
i also started my lupron injections today and my gyn said to expect to
be in even more pain for the first month. i told the dr at the pain
clinic that to and it didn't seem to make a difference. i just thought
a pain clinic was supposed to at least make your pain tolerable. and i
am still house/couch bound.
