Day 13, 8 pounds gone.
Darned left achilles tedonitis! However, I got on my scale this
morning and another pound was gone. So about 1/8th of my diet is over
and the easy pounds are gone. The remaining pounds are going to be
much harder to get rid of.
At my age, close to 60, I have to take overuse injuries more seriously
and so I am largely going to stay off my feet for the next several
weeks. (I am scheduled to go on a long hike in 4 weeks but this
probably will not be possible.)
Had about 1500 calories yesterday =96 too many, but okay and that would
still lead to about 2 pound weight loss a week. I have to keep doing
what I=92m doing and not change my diet. Of all the things I=92m doing
now, keeping calories low and staying away from beer might be the most
effective.
Tomorrow I=92m driving my son six hours to his college and then I=92m
helping him unload and then drive six hours again home. The drive is
very relaxing to me and I look forward to seeing part of this amazing
country. We=92re leaving at about 7:30 am and I=92ll be back about 11 pm,
if the border crossing doesn=92t take too long.
