It's how fast it's absorbed that makes all the difference.

I never have table sugar around the house, but do get sugar from fruits 
(not juices).  It been ages since I used my juicer.

What amazes me is the fact that all the restaurants around here serve 
orange juice (usually freshly squeezed), but it's expensive, and you 
can't order less than 12 or 16 ounces.  Drinking that (or raw cane 
juice) on an empty stomach must really be unhealthy, except in the 
middle of a marathon!
