The canal goes thru the tooth and thru the underlying bone. The canal
does not just stop at the end of the tooth, it continues as far as the
nerve(s) go. The canal is the void that the nerve follows thru the jaw
bone to and into the tooth. A root canal cannot be removed. It could
conceivably be filled, but that is probably not a reasonable thing to
do.

This isn't just semantics. It shows clearly how Gohde fails to
understand even simple and basic language concepts.
