There is no typical breakdown. All we know about the diet is which foods
were eaten. So on the paleo diet there is no counting. Simply that foods
are either in or out. Optimal foraging theory says we went for whatever
foods were easiest to get for where we were. So in the tropics it would
have been high fruit. In the north high meat.

Yes, *raw* honey is the preferred one, but really no sweetener is ideal.
To
collect honey would have been difficult, so it would not have been a
staple. Our preferring sweet things is our way of telling when fruit is
ripe. And if you give up sweets you loss interest in them.

Correct. Animals were not domesticated until recently. So in the paleo era
only human milk would have been consumed. And from looking at less
advanced
societies it would appear that we breast fed for some four years or so.

Even unsweetened. The glycemic index is high. You can consume much more
quickly drinking juice than you can if you are eating the fruit along with
all of its fiber.

>Thanks for the heads up Don.

You're welcome.
