Howdy all :)
I've been on the Paleo diet for abt a week now and have been tracking
various nutritional values using Fitday.
Now I realize Paleo doesn't strictly adhere to the standard RDI's and
such, but this kinda has me worried -
Average Daily calories eaten (past 7 days)
Calories: 1,365
-------------
Fat: 27%
-------------
-Sat (15g)
-Polyunsat(7g)
-Monounsat (14g)
--------------
Carbs: 54%
---------------
-------------
Protein: 20%
-------------
Now I admit I had a few small hiccups last week, so this may not be
indicative of what happens across a wider data set. Still - 54% carbs
seems kinda high for a diet that's meant to avoid milk, flour, sugar,
bread, pasta and potatoes. What am I doing wrong?
Ps: here's a typical day summary (from yesterday). Again, given the
above, what am I doing wrong?
B'fast:
Greek salad
Banana
Herbal tea with tsp of honey
Morning snack:
Pumpkin seeds
Apple
Custard (made from almond flour, some vanilla essence. honey)
Afternoon snack:
Corn on the cobb (cooked, nothing added)
Dinner
Mashed vegetables (tomato, capsi***, goats cheese, mushrooms), sauteed
Nighttime snack:
Pineapple juice (100% pineapple, no sugar: 3 cups)
Custard (as above)
- If it flies, floats or ****s, you are better off
renting it.
