Per the suggestion of some of you here and the dietitian, etc., I've tried
some foods that have elevated my blood sugar at breakfast at different
times of day. I had peaches with cottage cheese with breakfast one morning
this week and had a pretty decent spike. I tried a peach with dinner
tonight and lo and behold, my 1-hr was 94. The same with the stupid
McDonald's breakfast burrito thing. At breakfast time, it makes my blood
sugar go way up; at lunch, not so much.
What's the deal with this? Is it typical for some foods to not work early
in the day, but be okay later in the day? I know I keep reading "it's what
you eat, when you eat, with what, what you're doing...." and I'm just
trying to find some rhyme or reason here.
