OJ or Hi-C: what is the shelf life?

I had somewhat mild episode of hypoglycemia during our sleep time
Saturday morning. Laurie got me a glass of OJ/orange Crystal Lite and
a package of Smiles. They worked just fine. I was very shaky but
within ten minutes of eating the Smiles and drinking the orange
juice/crystal lite mixture the shakes had settled and my BG was on the
rise.

I said that perhaps we should buy one of those 8 ounce containers of
Hi-C orange drink or a small can of orange juice to have next to the
bed. We have had those cartons of Hi-C orange in both vehicles for at
least three years. I am wondering if there is a shelf life for such
things so long as they have not been opened.

Does anyone here know and if so what it might be?
