Don't forget that you need to titrate the steroids down very slowly. It is
usual to titrate the Prednisolone down to 0 and then the Entocort. If your
adrenal glands have shut down then the final low dose given every second
day
should help to kick start them.
Alternate day dosing with steroids can also prevent the shut down of the
adrenal glands

Unlike Prednisolone, which acts systemically, Entocort acts locally with
only some 10% entering the bloodstream, hence the fewer side-effects.
