Re: Probiotis/VSL3 aggrevating colitis?

Even if we are born with a "starter" set of intestinal flora, I still
don't see how anyone can refute that a significant amount of bacteria
somehow are able to make it through the gastric environment intact.
Just for example, if our stomach acid is such a bomb-proof defense
against foreign pathogens, then why are there so many bacterial water
borne diseases? Shouldn't the bacteria responsible for the diseases
simply be "killed", "burned up", or "devoured" by our stomach acids
before they can cause any harm?

Just a few thoughts...
