Re: Probiotis/VSL3 aggrevating colitis?

I'd say if the Nature's Way was working I would stick with that. My 
impression is the VSL#3 is an industrial strength probiotic, and therefore

possibly could cause issues for some people. The Nature's Way is almost 
identical I think in composition of the microbes and a whole lot cheaper.
I 
believe Nature's Way predates VSL#3 so the good folks who make VSL #3 may 
have shall we say copied their formula. Nature's Way is also enteric
coated 
so more bacteria is likely to reach the gut where it can do it's job.
VSL#3 
is not coated with anything, in fact a powder form if I remember
correctly. 
So the other possibility is that it is ineffective and getting burned up
in 
your stomach.

If probiotics were helping you, then and ineffective probiotic could allow

your symptoms to get worse because you are no longer getting the benefits.

This scenario differs in that it's not actually causing you to get worse, 
but not providing the benefits that help you get better.

Currently I'm wondering if my meds are not working for some reason. I've 
re-read the instructions and made a few changes but it can take time.
